WHAT IS TIN EYE?

TinEye is a reverse image search engine and using it can find out where it came from, how it is being used, if modified versions of the image exist, or to find higher resolution versions. It has menu like search , updates , goodies , api , about , press ,blog , forum and have facility to register and create a new account.

TinEye is the first image search engine and it uses image identification technology rather than keywords, metadata or watermarks. It is free to use for non-commercial searching.

TinEye searches web for new images, and also accepts contributions of complete online image collections. in it's database it has image count upto some 1,918,458,529(published 13 days before this post).

HOW DOES TIN EYE WORK?

When you submit an image to be searched, TinEye creates a unique and compact digital signature or 'fingerprint' for it, then compares this fingerprint to every other image in our index to retrieve matches. TinEye can even find a partial fingerprint match.

The fingerprinting technologies have been developed by Idée Inc..
TinEye does not typically find similar images (i.e. a different image with the same subject matter); it finds exact matches including those that have been cropped, edited or resized.

I hope you liked my first post and widened your knowledge a bit in vast internet ,  meet you all soon on some other tech updates in web
